ABOUT US
Tainted Shadows is an Aion Elyos legion residing on the Triniel server. The legion is dedicated to aiding its members in character growth and development so that all members can enjoy the PvPvE environment offered in Atreia. If your main interest is one of PvP battles throughout the Abyss, running group instances, or taking on large alliance bosses, Tainted Shadows will attempt to accommodate those needs.
While Tainted Shadows may dabble in all aspects of the game world, one single part of it will not be the sole focus of this legion. Tainted Shadows is a gathering place for many people from various walks of life who enjoy different aspects of the game as well as enjoy the company of their fellow legionnaires.
The members who carry the name and emblem of Tainted Shadows come from various walks of life, many different backgrounds, beliefs, and ideals. They all realize and understand that the game world of Atreia is just that, a game world. Real life takes precedent over the game, and use the game and Tainted Shadows as their escape. Thus, all members of Tainted Shadows are mature, respectful, people who enjoy escaping the real world for the epic battles Aion has to offer.
LEGION BEGINNINGS
"Only through light can shadows be conquered."
These words will forever echo in my mind. I am Nictavissa Ferelon; Celestial Council member of the Tainted Shadows Legion. If you are reading this, it means that at least this record has survived to tell of our struggle.
We are the chosen few who have ascended so that we might take back Atreia from the forces of the Balaur.
After The Cataclysm, everything changed. Families were divided; friends became enemies; and the shadows began to spread. You may say that shadows do not reside within the golden light on Elysea; but you would be seriously wrong. Not all shadows are so easily seen. While many believe we live within a paradise; some of us have had our eyes opened to see that which most do not.
Corruption from the shadows has tainted our kind. We no longer fight only the Asmodians and Balaur; but ourselves as well. Corruption and betrayal have seeped into our way of life. As the shadows spread throughout all of Atreia; we find that we are losing the finest of our kind. Around us, we have seen Legions crumble to chaos. We can only believe that the Balaur have found a way to tap the Aether and use it for their own twisted purposes.
If you still do not believe me, then allow me to ask a simple question. "The Balaur demon charging in with his blood stained axe; or one of your own officers who secretly plots against you and attempts to slit your throat in your sleep... Which is harder to spot and stop?"
Fear not reader, for not all is lost yet; my story continues...
Kimokeo, one of Elysea's finest, has taken the role Imperium Dei and formed the Tainted Shadows Legion. He was the first to awaken from the illusion that all is perfect in our fair Elysea. He began to see the corruption and just how deeply it had spread. Realizing that time was running out, he began to collect other brave Daeva to join his ranks. Their task was simple; strive to battle the forces that threatened our world while fending off the shadows that had corrupted their own kind.
Melicious; skilled in wielding the power of the elements; brought forth her strengths to help turn the tide of battle. Diligently loyal to the Dei, the Spiritmaster vowed to stand beside Kimokeo in the conflict. Without hesitation, the Dei accepted her offer as he had already seen many a foe fall at the jaws of her wind spirit.
I, in turn brought forth my sword and shield to defend our leader from his enemies. As a templar, my role was clear. Nothing was more important than those I swore to protect… not even my own life. If blood would be shed by a member of the legion, then it would be my own to hit the soil first.
The third to join the ranks of the celestial council; the closest advisors to the Dei; was the ranger Krauss. His battles had taken him to Asmodae and back. His eyes had seen first-hand the corruption that had befallen our once fair world. His travels had aided him in forming many alliances with the other legions. It would fall upon him to assist the Dei in increasing our ranks.
It is Kimokeo's belief that even once tainted by the shadows, a daeva is not lost. Should he or she battle the darkness within; should he or she seek the light; they can be redeemed. Those that the Imperium Dei has rescued from this darkness have chosen to follow him into battle against that which once chained them into servitude.
Through his leadership, the darkness will be banished and once more Elysea will truly be bathed in light.

LEGION STRUCTURE
Tainted Shadows is headed by our Imperium Dei Kimokeo, and his Celestial Councilors, Melicious, Nictavissa, and Krauss.
The legion uses the following hierarchy for its members
Imperium Dei - Commander in Chief, over see's day to day operation of the legion and it's members.
Celestial Council - Vowed to uphold the goals and ideals that binds Tainted Shadows. Has proven his/her allegiance to Tainted Shadows and the Imperium Dei. Has been entrusted to lead the Legion in the absence of the Imperium Dei.
Veteran of Light - Full fledged member of the legion, has accepted the goals and ideals from which Tainted Shadows was first formed.
Soldier of Light - Newly added member to the legion whom is beginning to realize the presence of the light emerging from the darkness.
